Boribon travels to Luxembourg
FULL HOUSE - Playful meeting with Veronika Marék
21 September 2025 10H00
One of the most beloved figures in Hungarian children's literature is Veronika Marék, whose stories have been read by generations. Her tales not only entertain, but also teach children and adults alike about the world with gentle wisdom, love, and humanity.
The heroes of Kippkopp, Boribon, The Ugly Little Girl, Laci and the Lion, and The Rabbit with Checkered-Ear have been part of the everyday lives of Hungarian families for decades. In Veronika Marék's stories, the world is playful, instructive, and honest — just as we all want it to be.
Veronika Marék is also an illustrator, so her books form a unique whole: her pictures and words together create the magic of the stories.
We look forward with great joy and love to the writer-reader meeting to be held among the Hungarian community in Luxembourg, where we can get closer not only to the world of her books, but also to the person behind them.
